Following two successful coin burns in May earlier this year, today we are happy to announce the planned end-of-year coin burn round.
Heeding our community’s recommendation and on our quest to positively influence the trading environment, we have so far burned a total of 100,151,034,322 DCN in the four previous rounds. Today (December 31st, 2020) we are making another step towards achieving this goal by burning another 169,184,768,874 DCN in the current fifth round. This number includes the unused tokens left from this year’s unlock.
Today’s coin burn marks the largest amount of DCN ever burned. It currently amounts to 1,940,549.30 USD (2:00 pm on December 31st, 2020). The burnt coins will reduce the total supply of Dentacoin permanently. The request to update the supply metrics has already been sent to the coin listing trackers.

Now the total amount of burnt Dentacoin tokens is 269,335,803,196 DCN or 3,089,281.66 USD or ~4,212.6760 ETH as of this moment (2:00 pm on December 31st, 2020):
We will continue our efforts to combat inflation and eliminate excessive amounts left in circulation in the future, as a regular event in the years to come, should action be necessary. In the meantime, our efforts will remain focused on improving the Dentacoin ecosystem and tool suite through active development of the existing and upcoming products. Additionally, we will also be looking into more ways to expand the partner network, as we onboard new members and improve our current offerings.
